Xi'an Jiaotong University School of Stomatology is a large third-grade Class A dental hospital in Northwest China, directly affiliated to the National Health Commission of the People's Republic of China.
As an integrated institution intergrating teaching, clinical practice, research, and preventive oral care, it is a renowned clinical hospital, leading stomatology school and research institute. It covers all secondary disciplines in stomatology, and hosts 4 out of the 8 national clinical key stomatology specialties in stomatology nationwide. It is one of the earliest institutions in China offering a 5-year undergraduate programs in stomatology, with authorization for a stomatology postdoctoral research program, an interdisciplinary doctoral program in oral biomedicine, and a first-tier master's program in stomatology. The school has established multiple national and state-level platforms, including the National Regional (Northwest) Stomatology Medical Center, National Drug Clinical Trial Institution, National Standardized Training Base for Stomatology Residents and Specialist Physicians, the Continuous Medical Education Base Approved by the National Health Commission, the National Training Base for Stomatology Practitioners' Clinical Skill Assessment and Examiner Development, Shaanxi Provincial Key Laboratory of Craniofacial Precision Medicine Research, the National Stomatology Laboratory Center and GCP Trial Institution, to name a few.
There are more than 1,300 staff members, including 81associate senior professionals and above, 15 doctoral supervisors and 39 master's supervisors. It operates 28 clinical departments, 6 outpatient clinics, over 700 comprehensive dental treatment units, and 100 inpatient beds. It records an annual outpatient volume of over 810,000 visits, and admits over 2,700 inpatients from Northwest China and across the rest of the country.
